Cindy Brunger MSW, had been thinking about quality improvement and performance management for 10 years, and finally got the opportunity to begin consulting on a full time basis in mid-2008. The core purpose of her practice is to facilitate improvement in human services organizations that impacts outcomes for clients. As a practitioner, Cindy has been a program supervisor, unit manager, clinical coordinator, and administrative director in a variety of practice settings including a residential division—she understands the challenges of hiring and supervising staff, and knows that pinpointing performance expectations in actual practice settings is not easy. In 1997 she moved to Human Resources and developed a performance management system that fully met accreditation standards; she also spent years as a consultant/trainer for case managers and supervisory staff.
Cindy believes in the value of accreditation, is a COA Peer Reviewer, and has contributed to successful accreditation efforts as a committee member, committee leader and consultant to a mid-size social service agency that achieved accreditation in 2004.
